Speaker: Dr. Hamed Haddadi
Title: Sharing personal experiences on doing a collaborative networks & systems PhD
In this short talk I will discuss some personal experiences in UCL, Cambridge and MPI-SWS, with standard tried-and-tested techniques for doing a good PhD in Networks & Systems, using slides on this topic from Steve Hand (Cambridge). We can debate and discuss merits of engaging with other students, collaborations, conference and workshop attendance, publications and industrial internships. I will aim to convince you that weekly group seminars are productive and constructive for your career, confidence and progress.
