Title:  Wireless SDN based policy consistency and security management under 5G MTC networks
Abstract:
Software-defined-network (SDN) is a promising technology to facilitate the policy update, which will benefit many areas. This project takes E-health monitoring system as an example, aiming to do the policy consistency and security management to guarantee the normal operation when E-health monitoring system is constructed under wireless software-defined-network (SDN). The project is under 5G machine-type-communication (MTC) scenario in which there are massive deployments of wireless devices. Many current policy consistency management technologies rely on modelling the network and reporting to controller to detect and solve the policy conflicts. However, if these schemes are applied in wireless network settings, it will cause huge overheads. And besides, achieving the policy consistency, all of the devices will be involved for signalling forwarding, leading to possibility of information leverage and energy exhaustion. Consulting neighbouring devices to evolve its own flow table and coordinating with security and energy balance scheme could be a potential approach to enhance consistency, energy balance and security for the E-health monitoring system, especially in the MTC scenarios.
