Title: Capture Hadoop Networking Behaviour

Abstract:
The network plays a very important role in distributed systems such as Hadoop, which allows users to perform complex data processing across a number of different nodes. However, the behaviour of network traffic in Hadoop clusters is still poorly understood. This lack of understanding can make it difficult to explore and evaluate network-based Hadoop innovations in a realistic way. In this talk, I’ll discuss how to capture Hadoop networking behaviors, and reproduce the Hadoop traffic in various network scenarios by adopting the network simulation tools. Also, I’ll give examples of how different network components such as topology, transport layer protocol can be investigated under the Hadoop job traffic .
