Title: Efficient Multicast using Network Coding
Abstract:
As a transmission mechanism, network coding can improve the efficiency of transmissions. Adopting network coding in wireless multicast can further reduce resource consumption. However, with current approaches to network coding two limitations exist. One is the topological requirement. The other is that signals arriving at a relay node need to be synchronized. In response to these two limitations, this project proposes corresponding solutions and then designs a new network coding mechanism that is capable of supporting more generic scenarios. Furthermore, based on the proposed network coding scheme, a new multicast protocol is designed.
