Title: Plane detection using 3D point cloud data
In this presentation, 3D point cloud data which can be obtained by scanning an indoor environment using laser scanner is introduced. A flowchart of a simplified method for plane detection is given. Due to the great amount of data that is required to be processed in this case of plane detection, hadoop is expected to be used to greatly reduce the processing time. A discussion on whether it is possible to adopt hadoop in this experiment will be conducted.
